CARAMEL POPCORN

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup peanuts
7 quarts popped corn
1 cup butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

DIRECTIONS:

Boil butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt in a 2-quart saucepan to firm ball stage (249*f).
Add baking soda and vanilla to mixture.
Put popped corn and mixture into a roaster pan.
Put into 250*f oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Let cool, serve.
